Profile of an Architectural Photographer

BIPPqualifiedlogoABIPPWhiteI have been a professional photographer since 1997 when I completed three years at Plymouth College of Art and Design, specialising in stills photography. At that time I gained formal qualification as an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP).

My work now concentrates on three key areas:

architectural photography
interior photography
landscape photography

I use extremely high-end digital equipment and a perfectionist's eye to achieve powerful, high quality imagery.

I work primarily in Devon, Cornwall and the South West. Before changing career to photography, I gained a degree in geophysics and subsequently worked in fields of satellite remote sensing and technical editing.

website design and hosting from Devon

Another area of professional work I do is in website design, operating as Vicinity Websites. I provide website design and hosting in Devon and the UK for small businesses.

I use professional software that ensures that the websites adhere to W3C standards and carry out extensive SEO of websites. You can see some examples of my website designs here.

I write a blog, called Tavicinity where I can share photographs and thoughts about where we live and our landscape. I don't ramble on too much; after all, a picture paints a thousand words.

I have written and photographed a book about Dartmoor - The Dartmoor Tors Compendium combines over 700 photographs with facts and information about each tor.

The book will be launched by the Dartmoor National Park Authority on July 29th 2017 at the Visitor Centre in Princetown, Dartmoor. For every book sold, £2 goes straight to Donate for Dartmoor; raising funds to help the Dartmoor National Park Authority conserve precious habitats, protect historical sites and improve recreational access.
